As I sit here broke and broken (with fashionista flu) I might as well send the universe my wish list...
1. Alexander McQueen snake print silk organza dress. I have to say that his last and final collection is the most triumphant. I met McQueen some seven year's back. He judged some random competition I ended up winning. He was brilliant. He was grumpy. Am sure people are tired of reading this, but long live McQueen. (Can the press office now send me that dress, please?)
2. Alaïa Chain link leather sandals. I love you. I want you. Be mine. My adoration will last eternity (or until next season)
3. A Twitterati necklace. No I am not part of the esteemed Twitterati, but perhaps if I wear this necklace I can pretend I am.
4. To switch bodies with Elizabeth Spiers. Go on Lizzie. Wouldn't you prefer to be a low-rent fashion blogger stuck in the Middle East rather than a savvy-New Yorker with an accolade of the 2010 list of Most Influential Women in Technology?

Christopher Sauvé Heads to Doobs
Christopher Sauvé of the 'Save Anna' T-shirt fame is heading to Dubai this Autumn. I spoke to him briefly via email to outline his reasons behind the trip.
"I am planning on coming for an exhibit this October. I am friends with Mohammed (al Habtoor) and he and I will collaborate on a special limited edition tee for Dubai," he said.
"I have always been fascinated with Dubai, the city, the people and the culture. I am extremely excited to visit and showcase my artwork to such a fashion savvy audience."
And those you can't wait until October, you can get your fix with Suave's latest creation. "Currently I have a special tee that I designed for Bloomingdales Dubai. It was a collaboration with THEORY and Bloomingdales for the opening of the new store."
Hmm. Interesting...

Leave Tavi Alone...
I had a conversation with some so and so the other day. I was raving on about what a great writer fashion blogger Tavi Gevinson is.
They said 'yah, but she doesn't write her blog, her mom does...'
And I thought, 'hey that's mean, but who cares if she does... Doesn't the twitter genius 'shitmydadsays' pretend that his dad dribbles out all clever rambles on a daily basis, when it's really him and a team of clever scriptwriters that sit in a room drinking wine and spin doctoring hilarious one-liners?'
Either way, it's all rumours and I for one can't stand them. When there's talent out there, don't knock it...

The 'Faye'
What's up with the whole naming my product after someone else thang going on at the moment?
Mulberry launches The Alexa (after Alexa Chung), Plastic Island launches the Lanphear (after US Elle Style Director Kate Lanphear) and LG launch the Eva and Victoria (Eva Longoria and Victoria Beckham) pictured above.
Now if any designer fancies calling their fab new product 'the Faye' in a bid to shift sales then I'm happy to endorse...

Christian's little Barbies
How unbelievably moreish are Christian Louboutin's little Barbies? The fact that she comes with three changes of shoes is enough to whet any shoeaholic's appetite. I just am counting the days when good ol' Mattel team up with a handbag designer to make 'it bag' Barbie... Or has that been done already?

The Dress Maketh Rosario Dawson?
OK so there's been some talk that SJP makes even a potato sack look great, but roles reversed, how good does Rosario look in this floor length black Dolce & Gabbana gown? Usually Rosario is a bit drab in her get ups but here she looks simply stunning. I want her dress. Now.

SJP wins again
OK. Lots of people aren't going to like me for saying this but SJP officially gets on my nerves. She's so 'bang on trend' and 'fashion forward' all the time. But frankly, in my opinion she just gets sent all the right outfits. Unfortunately as fashion karma waves its magic wand on this occasion, I have to eat my words. In this latest Elie Saab get up, she simply rocks. And now I think she rocks. And I'm confused. Is it Elie Saab or is it SJP and her ability to make every outfit look cool?

Terry De Havilland Shooooze
Terry de Havilland is now launching a ready-to-wear shoe line. Famed for his outrageous creations in the 1970s, with stars including Bianca Jagger, Sir Elton John, Patti Boyd and Dame Shirley Bassey, Havilland is known for his wedges and platforms in bright metallic colours, decorated with snakeskin and other patterns. I reckon his collection is going to be massive...

Hot fashion favourite Osman is simply rocking the scene. Here backstage, his clever and confident use of gold and white screams style and orginality. Love his work...

Future of Ungaro?
I wonder what will happen to Ungaro now ex-creative director Estrella Archs has left?
I loved her work and her creative genius will be sadly missed.
Fans won't be left in the dark for too long as plans to launch her own brand are currently underway.
Giles Deacon has been rumoured to be the new creative director, but I think his talents won't be as commendable, although who knows in this day and age?
Instinctively I think I'll be garnishing my wardrobe with the likes of Estrella next season and ditching Ungaro from now on...
Gaga is officially gaga
I've been known to spend ridiculous amounts on clothes - and even go to extraordinary lengths to get that must-have outfit, pair of shoes on divalicious handbag, but I have never gone Gaga, like the lady herself.
Not only has she admitted that she has spent all her earnings on outfits, but apparently she needs THREE private jets to carry her heavyweight costumes.
Hmm... I wonder if she has any of those jets stuck in Europe awaiting clearance of natural disasters. Personally I think any removal of her wardrobe atrocities would do her, and the fashion scene, a world of wonders.
I adore Dior

Newbie success
Devil is in the detail
Somebody shoot me. I am lusting over Jane Norman's new dress collection. Jane Norman? What the queen of dag?
Mmm. Not so dag. I'd probably snap up all of these dresses. The draping, the ruffle detailing and beautiful 50s style tailoring... the detailing is spot on.
Who is their current designer? I hate them already. I never thought I'd like anything from Jane Norman, but now I do and I feel somewhat dazed and confused.
